Frankly speaking, you will never grow a robust plant without an excellent soil. Although now, you can grow plants using the method of hydroponics, it is still best for a majority of gardeners to grow their plants in the soil and this has been done since the ancient times.

Now, prior to planting your chosen seed or root plant, you have to prepare your soil first so that your plant will grow fast and healthy. The first thing you have to do is to a soil that is full of nutrient so that the plants will grow their buds fast.

If you have your own back yard, you can determine the soil if it is sandy, “mulchy” or it has lots of rocks or pebbles. Well, keep in mind that the soil will also depend on the kind of plant you will place in. Once you have determined that the soil can be used in gardening, you have to till or dig it using gardening tools.

The next part is you have to sprinkle in some fertilizers. Remember that if you are an organic gardener, you can use compost as your fertilizer or you can use fertilizers that can be easily purchased in your local garden store.

Well, you can also use earthworms and other friendly insects to make your soil “healthy”. However, this may take some time before the soil is quite perfect in your gardening endeavors.

After the soil has been prepared, you can now plant your seeds and grow them with tender loving care.
